Getting start with Neural Network programming

A few weeks ago, co-worker Jamie introduced the book Introduction to Neural Networks for C# (Heaton) and it kind of blew my mind. There are some deep concepts involved and some advanced math, but this is a very remarkable concept that I previously didn’t understand or really know about.

In short, this is a design pattern for creating a learning algorithm. In fact, you can use neural networks for pattern recognition (think images, voice, video, etc), categorization (think FICO score), simulations and predications (think weather models), and more.

Even if you don’t buy that book, there are some great resources where you can start.

The author, Jeff Heaton has even created a wide array of videos on the general topic and the C# specific book. Here are the playlists from YouTube:

I find this to be a very interesting topic and will likely/hopefully do some more posts on this as I learn more!
