Registering your websites with the search engines

As discussed, I recently moved all of my websites over to Azure. I need to re-register my websites with google, bing, etc so that my sites show up in search engine results. How do you do that? Well here is the detail, one by one:

This is simple, simple navigate to:

And put in your URL’s. That’s it.

Wait, what? You can go here:

But the “Submit your site” link points to BING!? Did Microsoft buy Yahoo or something?

These jokers require that you verify that you are the owner of the domain, which is somewhat of a pain. THey give you 3 options: 1) put an XML file on your site 2) add a <meta> tag to the default page or 3) add a CNAME record to your DNS. In my case, I am opting to do #3, because I can do it all from just logging into Network Solutions and updating my DNS. Anyhow, start here:
