Linking from PDFs from HTML

A question came up today about how to link or scroll to a specific page or bookmark in a PDF file. For example, if when I click on a web link, how do I open a specific PDF and scroll to page 3? Well, it turns out the Adobe Acrobat browser plug-in supports a few features that do things like this. See this website:

http://www.rdpslides.com/psfaq/FAQ00050.htm

for example, to scroll to a specific page, you might do something like this:

<a href="MyFile.pdf#page=8">Open PDF file</a>
