Vista 64-bit fingerprint reader alternative

I’ve been a big fan of the Microsoft Fingerprint Reader. I first started using it on XP – and it was a very easy way to log in, switch between profiles and submit passwords for websites. But since I went with Vista 64-bit everywhere, Microsoft did take a stand and said they would not support this device on 64-bit Vista for some reason.

So, after scouring around – I found this guy: http://www.pcdoctor-guide.com/wordpress/?p=4695

He claims this UPEK Eikon reader works great! So, I ordered one up – I’ll post back with my own results on how it worked out…
